Cannondale E-Bikes Review and Coupons

Rugged electric bikes with up to 105mi range Bosch motors.

Expert Review :

Innovators for half a century, Cannondale Bicycle Company began fifty years ago, in 1971, when a biking enthusiast in Connecticut started a business that built bike trailers. Cannondale went on to be the first brand to feature exclusively aluminum tubes in all their models as they introduced mountain and road bikes, and they’ve been leaders in other lightweight technologies like carbon fiber frames as well.

Among their new ideas, Cannondale introduced the radical notion of a front fork with only one side. Called the ‘Lefty Oliver’, it has just one arm, unlike every other bicycle front fork in the world. It’s a suspension fork that allows 30mm travel, eliminates weight and provides a stiffer overall fork. A few e-bike models feature the Lefty front fork.

Cannondale continues to set standards for innovation and improvements in bicycle design and build, even after the company was acquired in 2008 by Dorrell Industries, which owns some other well-known brands like Schwinn and GT. The bikes are made in Taiwan now, but they continue to feature the top components and impeccable quality standards for which they’ve been known over the decades.

Cannondale offers most of their classic models in electric bike versions, with the moniker Neo attached to each model name to indicate that it’s a new take on the original frame, with pedal electric power assist. There is practically no limit of models and designs to choose from in the Cannondale e-bike listings (other than cargo bikes, it seems), including a huge range of 35 models to choose from in nearly all styles of e-bikes:

Mountain
Road
Urban
Touring

While there’s a wide range of price points among all those choices of rides, none are ideal for people on a tight budget. Prices for Cannondale e-bikes start around $2,500 and continue up to top out around $10,000 for e-bikes with their top-grade, lightweight racing frames, all decked out with superior quality components and electronics.
